Club rides restricted to groups of 10 max for 8 QLD Local Government regions

The Queensland Government has issued a Movement and Gathering Direction to restrict groups to a maximum of 10 people for Greater Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Redland, Moreton Bay, Somerset, Scenic Rim and Lockyer Valley regions.

If more than 10 people look like turning up for a ride then the ride should split into groups to keep the number of riders in each group to a maximum of 10.  To keep the groups separated the faster group should head off first.”

Whats ON in September

Our first multi day unsupported ride for many months is just days away. David Dowling leads  12 happy riders to the Darling Downs Pub Crawl Tour where groups of 30 are allowed being nicely west of the restricted regions noted earlier. If your not down to ride this one, you can still enjoy following us on the club fb page.

Next Tuesday Alex Geels leads us from Canungra to Mount O’Reillys for the second annual ride to this beautiful and picturesque route.

John Stevens Two Points Sunday morning rides are a delight. I joined John a couple of weeks ago for what was just a throughly enjoyable scenic ride hugging the coastline on paths and quiet backroads. I would highly recommend this outing to every north sider who hasn’t experienced the southern bayside at such close encounters.

John has recently added his Thursday morning Murarrie to Ormiston via Wynnum  ride to the calendar as a regular event now. This adds to the north side Redcliffe Run and Coffee at the Beach rides that have become club staples.

Mid month and mid week we have the 2 day Killarney base camp rides with an optional hike up Mt Wilson. The Tuesday ride takes in Queen Mary Falls and the magic Condamine Gorge. There is an optional third day ride around Boonah for those still busting with energy. This event is as much about the social side as it is about the bike, and the countryside is simply exquisite.

See the calendar of the regular Saturday morning rides and other rides not mentioned here.

Oh, and How are you finding the new look Calendar?

Having it easily readable from your phone and where every member can put a ride ON are the huge pluses that we see, so here’s hoping you get to enjoy the benefits as much as we think you will.
