Oh, Beautiful one day,..Perfect the next,…and the simple bicycle to jump on to enjoy it all.
How lucky are we,…
So June, sees The Stanthorpe Discovery Tour, A search for Uncle Bob up the BV Rail Trail and Breakfast at the Royal Qld Yacht Squadron to name three special events.
The calendar has John Steven’s 2 points ride from Gumdale each Sunday morn, the regular Wynnum Dash and Cruise on Saturdays, a River Loop every second Saturday along with the usual Tuesday and Thursday rides, all being well attended.
There’s still spots available for the Stanthorpe Discovery Tour, for the week after next, taking in two days of riding with ample time to savour the local wines and cheeses. You’ll need to book a bed and let Ian know you’re in,….the rest is pure pleasure.
A supported weekend ride 26 and 27th, sees us pedalling Linville to Yarraman up the Brisbane Valley Rail trail before heading westward past the Tarong Power station and down to a beaut little quirky farm stay at Uncle Bobs Cottages just out of Nanango. The next day the loop is completed with a screaming downhill and cruisy pedal along the Brisbane River back to Linville. Its a solid ride, a few hills but a very enjoyable couple of days with not a care in the world. Nine keen riders are IN with a couple of spots left.
This years first Club Breakfast has us sitting on the water (any closer and we’d be in it), hosted by the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron at Manly, down for Sunday 20th June at 8 am. You will get an email again one week out, to reply with your rsvp. Put it in our diary for a top of the morning sweet little cruisy amble in, on 2 wheels or 4, to savour the good life of yummy food, coffee and friends. It just doesn’t get any better than this,..
As you know the new calendar is up and running and so we are looking for more interesting and varied rides. If there’s a ride you would love to do, let me know and we’ll plan it. Otherwise throw it up there for all to see. Every Club Member has access to place a ride on the calendar, edit it, change it, whatever,…
The Club Executive are keen to see the Website have up to date photos on it and current information. So we are looking at that at present. And so please send in photos you consider represent the fun and enjoyment of club life. Oh and we will always seek your permission before placing any photo that you are in, onto the website.
We also want to thank all of our Ride Leaders for the Leadership and commitment to take club rides. This has not gone unnoticed.
So, look forward to seeing your smiling faces this weekend (well 47 at least) at Murwillumbah and Lismore to another fun filled weekend in beautiful countryside, all be it south of the border,..
Have Fun,…Go Well,…
