Old Coach Rd to Nanango and Brisbane River West branch return to Linville - 2 day bike ride
NovemberNov 20 2018 09:00 - NovemberNov 21 2018 14:00 Australia/Brisbane
Day 1 Linville to Nanango via Old Coach Road 61 km Climbing 836 M
The ride is 23 km on the BVRT Rail Trail that we did last ride. Morning tea (30 minutes appox) at Blackbutt (the only shops, water and toilets on route)
The next 22 km is all bitumen and easy riding no hills to speak of.
Then we arrive at Old Coach road which is 9 km of bush tracks. Remote and isolated tracking down to and across the Cooyar creek. We will need to walk two sections 700 M on the downhill due to numerous boulders and washouts and walk around 500 M up on the other side for the same reason. we will be able to ride most of the balance. We will stop for lunch on Yarraman Creek (dry as a bone)
The final leg of 11 km to Nanango is all bitumen on a quiet road . We will stop at Nanango to stock up on food. The final 5 km to Uncle Bob’s Cottages is bitumen and easy riding.
