3 day supported MB Maleny / Imbil / Jimna / Linville tour

Day 1 Monday 1st July Postmans Track to Imbil 57 km and 592 M climbing
Meet at the Linville rail head park, at 8 am. to,
1) Load your bags onto the support vehicle trailer
2) Be ready for the ‘Out there Cycling’ bus and trailer to collect you and your bike around 8.30 am departing at 9 am
We get taken up to the high country at the back of Maleny and dropped at Postmans Track around 10 am.
Our ride starts with a screaming downhill dropping 270 M in 5 km on bitumen straight off the bat.
We then head through Connondale and onto Kenilworth for morning tea and or a coffee and snack.
Its just a wee further on along the Mary Valley highway to Imbil
Accommodation will be at the Pub, Imbil Motel or camping at the Retreat across the road. You must book your accommodation yourself.

Day 2 Tuesday 2nd July Imbil to Lake Borumba to Jimna 59 km and 1271 M of climbing No food or water on route today
We meet at the Imbil Pub (Railway Hotel) at 8 am for a 8.30 am start.
The ride has a gentle amble 12 km or so on bitumen out to Lake Borumba. We’ll take a 15 minute break to take in the beauty, check out the dam wall or whatever,..
Then its onto gravel with several creek crossings where we will need to wade across knee deep water.
Unfortunately there is a climb up to the plateau that Jimna sits on, but its great Aussie bush. The road will be quiet and the birds can be heard. We ride past the historic Jimna fire tower, still closed for restoration but a marvel to see.
We will stay at the Jimna Base Camp, an old Qld State Government school, now in private hands. The details are noted below.

Day 3 Wednesday 3th July Jimna to Linville 46 km and 536 M of climbing No food or water on route today
This is another great day of riding on gravel and dirt tracks, dropping off the plateau at the start of the day a couple of kms out of Jimna.
We pass the Louisavale homestead on route to the Brisbane River just 7 km from Linville.
The final stretch home is on Bitumen and just a couple of hills. Gail’s chicken burgers and coffee await you at the Linville General Store.
