Social Meeting at Grange Library Hall, 74 Evelyn Street Grange 4051, 7.00 p.m to 10.00 p.m. Tuesday 1 November, 2016
Ever wondered about the possibilities provided by modern electric bikes? How far can they go on a charge? How do they go up hills? What are they like at carrying loads?
Though not “core” to the activities and aims of the BBTA, the committee felt that many members would be interested to get an update on what the current ‘state-of-the-art’ is with electric bikes, which seemed to have evolved very rapidly since they first appeared. Samantha (or Nick) from Electric Bikes Brisbane have kindly offered to present at our social night on Tuesday 1 November 2016.
Electric Bikes Brisbane are Queensland’s leading electric bike store and have an excellent selection of electric bikes from commuters and tourers, to cargo bikes, folders and even mountain bikes. These bikes from European, British, NZ and Australian manufacturers are now more efficient than ever….. often capable of over 160km on a single charge! They back up their sales operation with expert servicing and repairs, and even offer a selection of e-bikes for hire.
They will bring along to our meeting a couple of different type of the latest electric bikes, including the bike that recently set the world electric bike long distance record (ridden by ebike cycle tourists).
It promises to be a very interesting night.
Also members will be able to borrow and return books/DVDs from our library, and catch up with members over supper.
Doors open from 7pm with presentation commencing around 7:30pm. See you there!
