May 24 - May 25
One event on May 24, 2021 at 12:00 am
This is a SUPPORTED ride so all your bags are carried by others. And when you rsvp to Paul Glennon your ACCOMMODATION will be automatically booked along with dinner Monday evening and breakfast Tuesday morning. We can also take a simple sandwich and fruit for the ride Tuesday.
Budget around $80 for a bed and meals, and approx $ 30 to have your bags carried.
We encourage E Bikes for those who maybe unsure of the climbing and distance but would love to come. Typically mountain bike and hybrid bikes are the usual with 32 mm wide tyres or greater.
We will be regrouping many times on route and typically having a break for food every 20 to 40 km.
So, for the ride: Meet at the former train station opposite the pub at Linville at 8 am ready to roll out at 8.30 am. Riding up the BVRT to Blackbutt for morning tea at the local cafes. Then back on the rail trail up to Yarraman for lunch. This trip we head west out of town and up the Tarong Yarraman road and onto Ridge road past the power station, continuing long the ridge with beautiful views to the east before reaching Nanango. A quick break before completing the final 5 km leg to Uncle Bobs farm stay NE of Nanango.
80 km for the day but a notable 962 M of climbing.
