Going Potty Ride – May 2023
A glorious cloud free day greeted the 7 riders on the "Going Potty" ride - (Varsity Lakes to Pottsville and return)
We got off the train at 8.30am at Varsity Lakes. Ahead of us was a mostly flat 55k ride along bike lanes, bike paths and quiet back roads bordering the beach.
We had smoko at the Tugun SLS club and lunch at the destination - Pottsville.
As we did not have far to go and the scenery was ideal we did not push ourselves - an average of 15kph was maintained for the day. We camped at Pottsville North Caravan Park and had dinner at the Sports Club next door.
On Sunday we had a late start and a leisurely breakfast before riding back to Varsity Lakes Train Station via the same route at 8.30am.
There were no arrests or hospitalisations!
