We are starting from Yarraman, parking our cars at the Yarraman Visitors Information Centre, then being shuttled up to Kilkivan with our bikes by Out There Cycling to start the KKRT.
We will meet and park at Yarraman on May 1 and be picked up by Out There Cycling at 09:15hrs to shuttled to Kilkivan. We will then ride back to Murgon and stay in Murgon for the first night. On the second day we will travel to Kingaroy and stay overnight in Kingaroy. You will need to organise your own accommodation but I will advise a time and location where we will all come together for a dinner that night if we wish.
On the last day we will travel mostly via the Kingaroy – Yarraman Link Road, 34 of the 55km is on sealed back roads but the last 21km is on the Old Stockman’s route.
On arrival at Yarraman, some riders will pick up there car return home, others will go to the Boyne Burnett Rail trail and a few may even continue on to Walkuraka if they have managed to get a lift to Yarraman. We are working out the details of the shuttle cost and they can be found as follows:-
10 or more - $100 per person/bike - this looks very likely
8-10 - $110 per person/bike
6-8 - $125 per person/bike
For guidance, so far, we have 10 people showing interest so I expect the price will be $100 per person / bike. I will close registrations at the start of April and determine the final cost.
Additionally luggage transfers will make the trip more comfortable and Out There Cycling are happy to give us a competitive price on that also and would probably be along the lines of what you paid last year which will be $93.75. Please let me know if you are interested in the luggage transfers. This mean the total cost of the shuttle and luggage transfer would be approximately $193.75.
