Once again we (riders, partners & guests) have the opportunity to get together at the Queensland Maritime Museum, Southbank for this BYO Christmas dinner & drinks gathering. Right on the riverbank ! (see the picture). Views galore !! Undercover is available in case of showers. Toilets on site. Limited CAR PARKING onsite. Tables, Chairs, BBQ & Fridge is available. Arrive by Kitty/City Cat ferry, train, bus, bike, car or walk. Please arrive only between 4.15pm & 5pm (someone will be there to guide you in).
Entry is $15 per person - cash please. All proceeds to the Museum's upkeep. (We have no paid management or staff !). NOTE: Alex will give a brief tour INSIDE the naval frigate (HMAS Diamantina), at no extra cost, for those who may be interested. High heel shoes and dresses are not suitable for the tour due to some steep stairs and confined spaces. As the vessel was built 80 years ago, no air con is fitted.
PLEASE NOTE : Entry into the Museum is ONLY possible via DOCK STREET (nearly opposite Christie Street) - which is on the Kitty Kat ferry stop (Kangaroo Point Cliffs) side of the Museum. DO NOT use the entry on the Southbank side of the complex or via Little Dock Street. These gates will be locked and un-manned.
