Woodside - Gunyah Day Ride | 54 km

Lets meet at the corner of Rouse St and Miles St in the centre of town at 8.45 for a 9 am roll out (NSW daylight savings time).

The Woodside - Gunyah Day Ride is a 56 km single day ride, 33% of the 56 km are unpaved pristine gravel roads. The elevation gain of the route is just under 900 m, the highest point on the route is 1096 m above sea level with a maximum gradient of 11%. The rating of this route is easy, with wide, smooth surfaced roads and is relatively free from obstacles. It uses 100% public roads and experiences interactions with traffic. The route uses the Bruxner Hwy at times which is a 100 km/h road. This route is manageable for all skill levels with a moderate amount of fitness. We plan to do the route anti-clockwise. The ride will creep up the iconic Gunyah Road on the second half of your ride. Timing it so in the lateness of the afternoon…the hillsides of granite and long vistas to the south-west are in full light.
