We will be exploring some of these rides during the Warwick Loop rides scheduled for shown on the calendar.
Further communications about this ride will only go to those who have registered their interest. That way I will not inundate you with emails you do not want to see. So, if you are interested, please register.
Day 1
Our plan is to meet up near the Public toilets in Leslie Park on the corner of Guy and Fitzroy Street, Warwick in time for a departure at 09:00hrs. This will give riders sufficient time to travel from Brisbane or the Gold Coast. Parking in Guy Street is plentiful.
On the first day we will do the ride in the attached map as theWarwick Pratten Loop(Map3) which goes out to Pratten and return. We should be back in Warwick with enough time to have a bite to eat then explore the town.
At the start of the ride I will take some back roads so we are not on the main highway. This will add another two or three kilometres but is much safer.
You will be able to return to your car and go to your accommodation. I ask that you book your own accommodation. There are heaps of options nearby whether it be the Horse and Jockey, the Jackie Howe or the Warwick Motor Inn. These motels are within walking distance of the dinner venue in the main street of Warwick.
Dinner
Dinner is scheduled for 6:30pm at the Warwick Hotel, 20 Palmerin Street. If you intend coming please register your interest on the event in the calendar.
Day 2
It is anticipated that we start from the same location at Leslie Park at 09:00hrs on Friday September 20. We will use Warwick loop - Day 2(ie Map 1) and do the 36km Warwick via Junabee loop ride. I am aiming to have coffee back in Warwick at Warwicks Gardens Galore, 21 Albion Street, Warwick.https://www.facebook.com/gardensgalorew/After coffee and a snack it is 1km back to Leslie Park to pick up your car. The Warwick Swimming Pool is open and is about 300 metres away from our finishing location. For those wishing to freshen up before their return journey, pool visitors can get a hot shower for less than $5.
