Ian Chant’s Wandering Around Wondai 2 day loops rides has been cancelled for July, but it will be put up again in a few months. I’m keen to do this, as the Rail Trail through Wondai is well known but the side trails and nearby roads will be a focus to discover with new areas to explore.
The regular rides are on the calendar to see. These include John Stevens 2 Points from Gumdale each Sunday morning leaving Eastside Shopping Village at 7 am and Aileen Franklin’s Bayside Breeze 40 km ride on 2 Sundays the 13th and 27th leaving Lota Train station at 8.40 am.
The mid week rides are Tuesday’s Alt. Oasis ride to Sandgate and Shorncliffe, and Thursdays Coffee at the Beach and the Redcliffe Run. Please see the Calendar for the details.
Registrations are open for Peter Brennan’s Ballina to Casino Supported weekend rides. This particular location offers fabulous quiet country to ride in and following the Richmond for many kms. Now the new Club Chat forum on WhatsApp is up and running. Please register to jump on it. Sub groups are opening for each of the multi day rides and have been well used for keeping everyone informed and for sharing photos of the events. So, thats terrific for keeping the social side of our club rides so enjoyable.
